Shady Creek United Church

Welcome to Shady Creek
Located in the centre of the Saanich Peninsula, Shady Creek United Church began as the South Saanich Methodist church in 1862. After the Union of 1925 it was known as the South Saanich United Church. Still later in 1952, its name was changed by formal motion at a congregational meeting to
"Shady Creek United Church".

Mission Statement:
“We are a community of Christ’s disciples professing our faith through worship, study, prayer and outreach, responding to God’s love by word and deed.”

Rev. Peter Mitchell came to us after years of pastoral experience with the United Church of Canada in the Atlantic Provinces and Manitoba. Peter and his wife, Jan, offer friendship, counsel and inspiration.

Visiting for the First Time?

Our service begins at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday School and nursery care is available. We welcome you to our church and invite you to join us for worship, study, and social activities. It is our wish that you will feel at home here and will come to know God's peace as we experience His presence together. After our Worship service we encourage you to come over to the Church Hall for coffee and goodies.
